An example of a skill is: ”Demonstrate the relationship of under, over, behind, next to, through, right, left, up, down, forward, backward, and in front of by using the body and an object.” Then, review Table 7.3 in Chapter 7 for appropriate activities.

    •  State standard (see the list of NASPE standards and indicate which state)
  3. Section 2: Lesson Introduction
  4.  Provide a brief description of the lesson
  5.  Create a student learning objective: (e.g. “As result of this lesson, students will be able to

demonstrate _________”.)

  •  Describe your system for classroom management and student grouping (e.g. class rules, consequences, rewards, and organization of the class during the activity)
  •  Describe the equipment needed and the environment (e.g. classroom, gym, outdoors, etc.)

Description

PED 212 Week 2 Fundamental Skill Lesson Plan,

Lesson details

  • Grade level- I chose grade level of third graders which are normally seven and eight

year olds because their physical and mental development skills level are beyond the skill level of the activity in my lesson plan.

  • Estimated level of developmental stage for this age/grade-Although the life of a primary-age child has changed dramatically with the introduction of formal schooling, developmental characteristics through this period closely resemble those of earlier years. Children are still working hard to understand and construct social relationships, deal with their emotions, and learn about their world through hands-on manipulation of objects and interactions with peers and adults.

  • Number of students- There will be ten students involved in my activity. I chose this small group so that I’m physically able to assist each child hands on if need be. And be there for these students that my needs extra assist from me with the activity.
